I know…it’s December. So a smoothie recipe doesn’t seem super seasonal, but you guys have to try this combo. It is fantastic!
Plus cranberry and orange just screams December, and the holidays.
This smoothie is refreshing, not too sweet, and creamy from the addition of the mango.
Within minutes of tasting this masterpiece I was frozen from the inside out, but it was SO worth it.
*Tip: Drink with a steaming cup of coffee in your other hand. 😉
Cran-Orange & Mango Smoothie
1 orange, peeled (reserve a few pieces of the peel)
1.5 cups fresh cranberries
1 mango, halved
1.5 c almond milk (or milk of choice)
2 Tbsp. ground flax seed
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used TrueNutrition Pea Protein)
Cinnamon to taste
3-4 ice cubes
Put all the fruit into your blender, along with a few small pieces of the peel of the orange. Pour in the almond milk, and top with the flax seed, protein powder and cinnamon. Blend. Add a few ice cubes and blend again.
Pete & I love to eat smoothies in a bowl, and put on toppings. I know, we are like 8 year olds at a ice cream sunday bar.
